Our Beliefs

Just what is a United Methodist?

As United Methodists, we have an obligation to bear a faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the center of the Church’s life and witness. To fulfill this obligation, we reflect critically on our biblical and theological inheritance, striving to express faithfully the witness we make in our own time.

In a nut shell...we discern for ourselves what to believe and live by, through continued study of the scriptures. Then, we do our best to find truth and meaning in the scriptures that applies to our everyday lives.  We listen to what others believe and respect their beliefs even if they are not our own.  We love others the way that Jesus loves us, regardless of their beliefs, or choices.

What is our Mission?

The Methodist Church's mission is to "make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world."

We want vital congregations that equip and empower people to be disciples in their home congregations, communities , and around the world!
We invite everyone to be inspired by worshiping with us. We look at all people of our church as vital to our mission. We pray for our church leadership.  We nurture our children, so they may discern for themselves what they believe and grow in the love of Jesus Christ.
